CAPE ELIZABETH – A college student from Cape Elizabeth who was killed in a 100-mile bicycling event in Florida was remembered as a dedicated and selfless go-getter.
Joshua Kuck, who was 22, was a junior at the University of South Florida, where he co-founded the school’s cycling team.
The 2003 graduate of Cape Elizabeth High School was killed Sunday when he was struck by a pickup while riding in the “Hilly Hundred” cycling event.
A scholarship fund is being created in his honor to ensure future University of South Florida students can afford new bicycles. A memorial service will be held Sunday in Cape Elizabeth.
