Basketball fundraiser at Orono High School

The Orono Firefighters Association All-Stars will take on the Harlem Rockets Comedy Basketball Team at a basketball game fundraiser at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Orono High School.

Proceeds will support the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Pine Tree Burn Foundation, the Orono High School Scholarship Fund and other local charities.

The LPC Corp., a fund-raising organization associated with the Harlem Rockets, will make calls to local residents and businesses to sell tickets and request donations. Those wishing to purchase tickets may call LPC toll-free at 888-626-8188.

Those who would like to make a donation can follow the LPC directions, stop by the Orono Fire Department or mail a check to Local 3106, P.O. Box 143, Orono, ME 04473. Checks should be made payable to Orono Firefighters Association. For information, call Kevin Sirois, Local 3106, at 299-5681.
