HERMON – Portwine of Maine, a gift-basket business and gift shop previously located in Millinocket, will have a “fall harvest” sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its new location, the Morgan Hill Event Center at 82 Morgan Hill Road on U.S. Route 2 in Hermon.
Refreshments will be served, including Portwine’s own gourmet cheese spreads and hand-dipped chocolates, and an expanded line of gift baskets will be showcased. Live entertainment will be provided by Maine singer-songwriter Dave “Archie” Archibald.
Carla Portwine began the business three years ago in her hometown of Millinocket. She was later joined by her son, Brandon. The company now employs five full- and part-time people.
