LEICESTER, Mass. – Jeffrey Truchon scored two second-half goals as Husson of Bangor upended Becker College 2-0 in a North Atlantic Conference men’s soccer semifinal Wednesday.
The No. 2 Eagles will travel to Vermont to face top-ranked Castleton State College in Saturday’s 1 p.m. conference championship game.
Josh Bartlett and William Shannon had assists for the 10-9-1 Eagles. Miguel Dominguez had three saves on eight shots.
Aaron Fill stopped three of 11 shots for Becker, who finishes 15-6.
Castleton State 3, UMF 0
At Castleton, VT, Corey Robbins, Bennett Laderroute and Josh Costa each scored a goal to lead No. 1 Castleton State by No. 5 University of Maine-Farmington in the NAC semifinals.
Mike Anthony stopped four shots to convert his third straight shutout for the 12-7-1 Spartans.
Brian Lemont, who entered the day ranked ninth in the nation in save percentage, made six saves as the Beavers end the season at 6-5-6.
Albany 1, Maine 0
At Albany, N.Y., Don Johnson scored the game-winning goal early in the first half to lift Albany past Maine.
Albany goalkeeper Steward Ceus made three saves on seven shots for the 3-10-3 Great Danes.
Nemanja Kostic stopped five of 13 shots for the 3-13-1 Black Bears.
Keene State 2, USM 1
At Gorham, Matt Johnson snapped a 1-1 tie with six minutes left in regulation to lead No. 3 Keene State by No. 2 University of Southern Maine in the Little East Conference Semifinals.
Caleb Paterson scored the first goal for Keene State early in the second half. Cal Mintz made six saves on eight shots for the 11-4-4 Owls.
Sinisa Bajic scored the tying goal for Southern Maine on a pass from Eddie Weddington. David Kreps stopped 10 of 14 shots for the 10-8-1 Huskies.
