GRAY – A woman who accompanied Michael Woodbury on a multistate crime spree before he killed three men in an armed robbery in New Hampshire has been charged with robbery, police said.
Megan Reeves, 19, of Windham was arrested along with a man early Wednesday after they tried to rob a convenience store in Gray, police said. The pair fled after the clerk refused to hand over any money.
Police say Reeves was Woodbury’s girlfriend and traveled with him on a crime spree including burglary and arson that preceded the murders.
Reeves and her sister Renee Gagne were traveling with Woodbury. Gagne returned to Maine a few days later, but Reeves continued on with Woodbury.
After they were accused of setting fire to a $2 million home on St. Simons Island, Ga., Reeves broke away from Woodbury, hiding from him in a gas station restroom in Franklin, Ky.
Reeves, who is hoping for a plea bargain on the St. Simons Island incident, was in jail at the time of the July 1 shootings at the Army Barracks stores in Conway, N.H.
Woodbury is serving three life sentences for the shootings. The shooting victims were James Walker, 34, manager of the Army Barracks store; William Jones, 25, of Walpole, Mass.; and Gary Jones, 23, of Plymouth, Mass.
