POLAND – Poland Spring is introducing a new bottle it’s touting as environmentally friendly at a time when the industry is under attack by environmentalists.

The half-liter Eco-Shape bottle that’s being rolled out this week also is being used by Nestle Waters’ other bottled water brands, including Arrowhead and Deer Park.

Ron Dyer, Poland Spring’s regional environmental manager, said the bottle, at 12.5 grams, is the lightest half-liter bottle on the market. It also features an ergonomic shape.
