Steady rains, inclement weather, and soggy field conditions have again postponed state championship high school sporting events with soccer games in three classes being moved to Wednesday and Thursday.

The Class C girls state final between undefeated east champ Lee Academy (17-0) and North Yarmouth Academy (11-4-2) is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Hampden Academy on Thursday.

In Class B girls soccer action, eastern champion Winslow (17-1) will take on the west’s York (11-4-2) in a 6 p.m. contest at Lewiston High School’s Roux Field. The 6 p.m. Class A girls game will match the east’s Waterville (16-0-1) against west champ Gorham (16-0-1) at Windham High School’s field. Both games will be played this evening.

Other non-postponed state finals will also be going on Wednesday as previously scheduled.

Both of the Class D state championship soccer games will match up Ashland and Richmond at Hampden Academy Wednesday. The boys game will start at 4:30 p.m. with the girls game following at 6:30 p.m.
