LEWISTON – A Lewiston man who spent five years in prison in connection with the death of his infant son is once again in trouble with the law.

Forty-seven-year-old Rocky Crowley was indicted on seven counts, including two felonies, of sexually abusing a teenage girl. According to court documents, the girl was 14 or 15 years old when the alleged incidents took place in Mechanic Falls.

Crowley was sent to prison in 1993 for aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges were filed after the boy, Chase Vincent Crowley, was found dead in a motel room.

Chase’s mother, Sherrie Cotton, now 33, was convicted of stuffing a sock in the child’s mouth to silence his cries. She spent three years in prison.
