Youth conference slated in Bar Harbor

BAR HARBOR – The Maine Youth Action Network will be host to the 24th annual Peer Leadership Conference Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, at the Atlantic Oakes by the Sea.

This conference offers Maine youth and their adult partners important resources, workshops and the opportunity to create action plans to help them create positive change in their communities. This year’s theme is “Maine Youth Leading the Way.” Event workshops cover topics such as youth activism, policy change and a variety of teen health topics including physical activity, nutrition and anti-tobacco.
