ORONO – Independent filmmaker Tom Jackson will present “Record Profits at any Cost: ExxonMobil, Hyper-Capitalism, and the Destruction of the Ecosystem” at the University of Maine at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Totman Room at UM’s Memorial Union. The presentation is part of the Socialist and Marxist Studies Series.

Jackson also is scheduled to introduce his film on climate change, “Out of Balance,” at 7 p.m. at UM’s Little Hall followed by a discussion.

He also will introduce and discuss the film at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine, 170 Park St. in Bangor.
