I had to laugh the big incredulous laugh when I read in the Veterans Day BDN Spotlight Section that Donald Kerr, the principal deputy director of national intelligence, declared that Americans must change their definition of privacy to essentially suit the purposes of the government. I will change my definition of privacy the same time I redefine freedom, justice, peace and tyranny.
I find it ironic that our collective “national intelligence” believes we wage wars to keep our freedom while the government chips away at our liberties without pause. I have come to the conclusion that Americans are more concerned about a comfortable, complacent lifestyle than about details like civil liberties.
