Just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, students were evacuated from James F. Doughty School in Bangor and classes were dismissed for the rest of the day after a bomb threat was found in one of the restrooms.

Students were taken to the gym at the neighboring Vine Street School, and parents were contacted to pick them up.

Police wouldn’t say if the handwritten note was found on the wall in the boys room or the girls room at the Doughty school, but they are investigating the incident, Bangor police Lt. Steve Hunt said Wednesday. He said police searched the building but found nothing. (Aimee Dolloff, BDN).
