St. Joseph remembrance program set

BANGOR – St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary invites the community to participate in the Lights of Remembrance program. A donation to the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in memory or in honor of a loved one will help St. Joseph Hospital celebrate the season by lighting the holiday display of a dove and star, symbols of peace on Earth and the guiding light.

A special holiday ornament with the remembered person’s name will be included on the Remembrance Tree displayed in the hospital lobby.

For a gift of $25 or more, the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary will provide a special commemorative ornament available only through the Lights of Remembrance program. For a donation of $100 or more, the loved one’s name will be included on the Remembrance Tree in perpetuity with a beautiful pewter ornament. Donations will be listed in a special album in the main lobby.

Those who wish to participate may pick up an order form at the St. Joseph Hospital front desk, the gift shop or call Mary Clift at 667-1114.

The lighting ceremony at St. Joseph Hospital will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Broadway entrance to the hospital. The ceremony will include caroling by St. John’s Catholic Church Youth and Adult Choir, refreshments and a visit from Santa.

The St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary hosts several fundraising activities throughout the year, and oversees the operation of Helen’s Gift Shop located in the hospital’s Broadway lobby. Proceeds received from the Auxiliary’s efforts benefit St. Joseph Healthcare.
