BAR HARBOR – Two new members have joined College of the Atlantic’s board of trustees.
Lisa Nitze of Washington, D.C., and Northeast Harbor is leadership group member vice president of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, an international organization that finds, rewards and sustains talent to develop social enterprise and innovation. Nitze has degrees from Harvard College and from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and serves on the board of the American University of Cairo.
William Thorndike of Massachusetts and Bar Harbor is a founding and managing partner of Housatonic Partners. He also has worked with the Walker Publishing Co. and T. Rowe Price Associates, and is a graduate of Harvard College and Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves on the board of the Boston Athenaeum and the Groton School, from which he graduated in 1981, and is an overseer of WGBH.
