Jaylin loves gardening and horses

Jaylin is a bright girl with a beautiful smile. Born in 1996, Jaylin is friendly and enjoys helping others. She is interested in a variety of activities and enjoys planting and gardening, riding her bike, playing games and putting together puzzles.

Jaylin loves animals and can be very good with them. Her favorite animal is the horse. She has begun to take riding lessons and is loving the time she spends with the horses.

Jaylin has a creative mind. She enjoys writing stories, drawing and doing arts and crafts projects. She likes to play with her dolls and often engages in make-believe play. She also likes to play basketball in her free time.

She is doing well in her current placement, and the professionals who work with her feel she is ready for an adoptive family. Jaylin would do best if she were the youngest child in the home and had older siblings as role models. The best family for Jaylin would be structured, consistent and committed to Jaylin. She thrives with clear limits, consequences and rewards.

An adoption subsidy is available for the most appropriate family.

Jaylin is among more than 100 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
