Bradford, Lee power Husson

STANDISH – Brock Bradford had 16 points and eight assists while Sheraud Lee tossed in 17 points to lead Husson College of Bangor to an 81-68 men’s basketball victory over Saint Joseph’s College Wednesday.

Blaine Meehan and Matt MacKenzie scored 11 points apiece and Scott Kissinger added 10 points for Husson.

Elbie Murphy had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Monks and Raymond Eatmon added 16 points and eight rebounds.

At Gorham, Artie Cutrone scored 17 points to lift Colby College of Waterville over the University of Southern Maine.

Adam Choice had 13 points for Colby while Mark Gaudet and Mac Simpson both scored 12 points. Michael Russell chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Ian Hebert scored 11 points to lead the Huskies and Greg Whitaker added 10 points.

Hamill Bassue scored 22 points for UM-Fort Kent. Edmundas Akstinas had 13 points and Jimmy Lopez added 10 points.

Dwayne Mitchell led UM-Presque Isle with 28 points. Anthony Wingate had 20 points and five steals and Thomas Wire scored 15 points.

Amy Miles also scored 17 points for the Terriers and Mallorie Blakney added 13 points and five steals.

Allison Miner led the Monks with 15 points and nine rebounds and Carolyn Freeman added 10 boards, six assists and four steals.
