BELFAST – Residents and veterans groups will gather Sunday at Perry’s Nut House on U.S. Route 1 in support of the Wreaths Across America convoy en route to Arlington National Cemetery.

The trucks will be loaded with wreaths donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington for placement on graves of those buried and memorialized at the national cemetery.

The convoy is expected to pass through the city about 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. The Belfast Police and Fire departments will escort the convoy.

City residents and veterans groups will gather at Perry’s Nut House at 1:50 p.m. A color guard will be present to pay silent respect and to give support to Worcester Wreath, its owners and employees.

The public is invited to take part in this tribute.

People are encouraged to car-pool.
