Operation Community Support at Maine Hockey in November is now moving to Portland for the Maine vs. RPI game on Jan. 6.

Operation Community Support is an opportunity to honor and host military members and families at a Maine hockey game.

When Maine played host to the University of Vermont at Alfond Arena on Nov. 25, nearly 100 military members or family members attended the game at no cost. They were invited to a postgame reception with the team and coaching staff. During intermission they were honored on the ice for their sacrifice and commitment.

This time Black Bear season ticket holders may also participate. If you have any tickets for the Jan. 6 game in Portland that you will not be able to use and would like to donate to the cause, you are invited to drop them off at the Maine Athletic Ticket Office at Alfond Arena. Include a note that they are for Operation Community Support.
