Outlook: The Black Bears have their work cut out for them against a hot Atlantic Coast Conference team that hasn’t lost at home this season. The Seminoles are outscoring opponents 73.5 points per game to 59.6 and outshooting them 46.4 percent to 39.5. Maine must win the battle of the boards to win. FSU is outrebounding teams 34.8 to 31.6, but Maine is averaging 40.9 to opponents’ 35.2. Maine must also get scoring from players other than Andre, Socoby and Bernal as the Seminoles can shut down teams’ primary scorers. This marks the midpoint of a brutal portion of Maine’s schedule with three road games against top-tier conference powers Providence, FSU and Connecticut.
