LEE – Rod Tirrell scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half as the two-time defending Class C state champion Calais Blue Devils rallied for their 45th consecutive victory, a 62-56 boys basketball triumph over Lee Academy Friday.

Cal Shorey notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Calais, which outscored Lee Academy 23-13 in the fourth quarter.

Cam Shorey and Sam Bell chipped in with 11 points apiece for the winners.

Hakeem Rodriguez led all scorers with 21 points for the Pandas. Devan Parker tossed in nine points and grabbed 12 boards while Luis Medina also scored nine points.
