Bengal Holiday Classic
At Fort Kent, Erica Scott had 24 points, 11 rebounds and five steals to help lead the University of Maine at Presque Isle to the 60-51 win over York College in the Bengal Holiday Classic Saturday. UM-Fort Kent also beat York 70-56 Sunday.
In Saturday’s game, Megan Korhonen had 14 points and six assists for UM-Presque Isle and Julie Wescott added 10 rebounds and seven points.
Maimouna Dabo led York with 13 points and seven assists.

At Biddeford, Marissa Hesketh and Allie Gamache combined for 23 second-half points as the University of New England erased a 43-31 halftime deficit to post the triumph.
Hesketh had eight points during a 16-3 run that snapped a 48-48 tie and gave UNE the lead for good.
Gamache had 15 points for UNE and also had four assists and three steals. Katie Diggins and Hesketh had 14 points each and Diggins grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds while dishing out four assists.

At Waterville, Kyle Jackson scored a game-high 21 points including a clutch lay-up with 49 seconds remaining as Bowdoin staved off a ferocious Colby rally to edge its arch-rival 75-72 in a college basketball game Saturday night.
Bowdoin used a 73 percent shooting performance to build a 52-31 halftime lead but Colby rallied to within one before Jackson’s lay-up gave the Polar Bears some breathing room.
Colby missed three potential game-tying three-pointers.
Andrew Hippert had 14 points for the winners and Andrew Sargeantson added 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds and six assists.
Mac Simpson’s 19 points and four assists paced Colby. Adam Choice had 15 points and six assists and Artie Cutrone had 12 points. Michael Russell and Mark Gaudet added 10 points each.
