BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

ETHAN SHANLEY

A senior center for the Old Town boys basketball team, Shanley helped the Coyotes get off to a strong start in its first year of Class B competition, averaging 18 points and seven rebounds in victories over Orono and Ellsworth.

Small School (Classes C-D)

JEREMY BROCK

A member of the Easton boys basketball team, Brock played a key role as the Bears won theiir first two games. He scored 31 points, 12 in the fourth quarter, as Easton earned a hard-fought 67-59 victory over Fort Fairfield. Brock added14 points in a win over Greater Houlton Christian Academy.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

ASHLEY KELLEY

A senior on the Hermon girls basketball team, Kelley averaged 23 points and 11.5 rebounds in two wins for the Hawks. She had 30 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Bucksport after a 16-point, 12-rebound effort in the season opener against Ellsworth.

Small School (Classes C-D)

RACHEL FOSTER

A 6-2 senior center for the Houlton girls basketball team, Foster scored 24 points, including the 1,000th point of her high school career, as the Shiretowners opened their season with a victory over Schenck of East Millinocket. Foster then added 17 points in a victory over Presque Isle.
