Long, Dame help CAHS girls pull away for win

MARS HILL – The Central Aroostook Panthers outscored Ashland 20-1 in the fourth quarter to break open a four-point lead and cruise to a pivotal early-season 55-32 Class D girls basketball victory Wednesday night.

Alex Dame led all scorers with 27 points for Central Aroostook, including 15 in the second half. Sarah Long tossed in 16 points, all in the second half.

Mindy Chasse led the Hornets with 12 points while Crystal Cook chipped in with 10.
