4 brothers hope to be adopted

These four brothers want to be adopted together. Andy, born in 2000, Caleb in 1999, Ben in 1998 and Paul in 1995 have a strong bond and are hoping for an adoptive family that can keep them together.

Andy is the youngest of the four boys. He is adorable and affectionate. He loves giving and receiving hugs. Andy enjoys sports, playing outside and doing crafts. He also enjoys cooking and has assisted with making pizza and baking cookies. Andy is good with animals. He had some challenges with staying on task and focusing at school and receives support during the day to help him remain on task and complete his work.

Caleb is a sweet, attentive boy. He enjoys playing sports, especially basketball and baseball. Caleb often can be found playing outside, swimming and playing with army figures. He likes doing all sorts of crafts and playing video games. Caleb attends church and likes to sing. He likes animals and is good with them. Caleb is bright and can make friends quite easily. He will receive speech therapy in school.

Ben is a handsome boy who is liked by all. Last summer, Ben’s camp counselors said that they love Ben because he is so “cute.” Ben likes to go to summer camp and learned to swim at the Y. He likes to play outside and collect rocks and enjoys gemstones and identifying them. Ben likes things that are sparkly. He attends church with his foster family. Ben continues to make gains in school. He has limited assistance with math and has had speech therapy but now is being checked on once every three months.

Paul is the oldest boy and has an endearing twinkle in his eye. Paul enjoys sports, especially basketball and baseball. He likes to put puzzles together and play video games. Paul is working on some behaviors that can affect his academics but is capable of doing well in school. He is working on behavioral challenges with peers, which are being addressed as necessary.

All four boys will do well with consistency, good supervision and lots of nurturing. A two-parent family with an active father figure would be ideal.

Andy, Caleb, Ben and Paul are four of the 137 children under the Maine Department of Health and Human Services care who are seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
