EASTPORT – Wayne Clossey scored 22 points as the Shead Tigers jumped ahead in the first quarter and held the lead the rest of the way en route to a 62-53 schoolboy basketball victory over the Jonesport-Beals Royals Wednesday night.
Thomas Pottle contributed 15 points and Justin Lewey 13 for Shead. Dana Mitchell hauled in 20 rebounds.
Harry Beal hit seven 3-pointers on the way to a 22-point evening for the Royals, and Mike Smith added 15.

Dylan Collins, Brennen Shaw and Brandon Daigle each netted a goal while Jason Martin had two assists for Presque Isle. Josh McFarline stopped 18 of 22 shots for the 2-2-1 Wildcats.
