BLUE HILL – Eben Powers scored 12 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to overcome a six-point third quarter deficit and lead the Deer Isle-Stonington boys basketball team to a 54-48 victory over George Stevens Saturday in high school action.

Collin Ciomei added 14 points for the Mariners.

Ebb Walton paced the Eagles with 17 points. Nick Saunders had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Elias Springer added five assists.

Georges Valley outscored Madison 17-8 in the third quarter to rally from a 6-point halftime deficit. The Bulldogs had a chance at the end after a Buccaneer turnover, but a 3-point attempt didn’t go.

Chris Eustis added 12 points and nine assists for Georges Valley. Trevor Wilson had 11 points, four steals and 10 rebounds.

Nick Mitchell netted an unassisted goal in the second period while Neil LaFrance had an assist for 2-1 John Bapst. Derek Duff made 25 saves on 28 shots.

Brandon Paul and Kirk Francis each tallied a goal and an assist in the second period for 1-4 Orono. David Eugley stopped 23 of 25 shots.

At T.J. Ryan Center in Brewer, Dylan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Nadeau each racked up two goals and an assist as the Witches rolled over the Dragons.

Eric White earned the shutout, stopped 23 shots. Nick Risser contributed a goal and two assists, while Andy Bush added an assist.

Matt Pellerin made 18 saves on 23 shots for Brunswick.

At the Forum, Presque Isle, Josh Buck scored the winning goal 53 seconds into overtime off assists from Sean Flanagan and Brandon Daigle to help the Wildcats edge the Rams.

Greg Cyr tied it at 3-3 for Presque Isle (3-2-1) off of a Dylan Collins assist with 49 seconds remaining in regulation. Collins and Flanagan each added a goal and Parker Hovey provided an assist. Ethan Hill stopped 20 of 23 shots.

Dave Pardilla, Josh Kelley and Alan Reese scored for 3-3 Bangor. Christian Dionne, Johnny Warren and Scott Farnham provided assists. Zach Hamilton blocked 24 of 28 shots.
