Chasse leads Bapst girls by Red Devils

CORINTH – Morgan Chasse registered 12 points to propel John Bapst of Bangor to a 47-38 girls basketball victory over Central Wednesday.

Samantha MacMillan chipped in with 10 points for the Crusaders of Bangor.

Bekah Campbell tallied 12 points to pace the Red Devils.

At Ashland, Jeremy Tarr led five Ashland scorers in double figures with 24 points as the Hornets topped Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Lucas Belanger tallied 22 points and 10 rebounds while Carl Nemer had 13 points. Jason Levesque and Justin Belanger each added 10 points for the Hornets.

Chris Parent scored 22 points to lead LCS/MSSM. Matt Beaulieu posted 12 points, while Matt Enman chipped in with 10 for the Eagles.

Gardiner 9, Old Town 3

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Klinton Peckham scored four goals to power Gardiner by Old Town.

Scott Hickey, Eric Botterbusch, Forrest Chadwick and Bob Johnson each added a goal while Bass Chadwick notched four assists. Tony Plourde made 33 saves on 36 shots for the 3-0 Tigers.

Josh Hesseltine, Tyler Van Dez and Cody Cross each scored a goal while Jason Smith had two assists for Old Town. Dan Lebretton and Cameron Washburn combined to make 33 saves on 42 shots for the 1-6 Coyotes.
