DOVER-FOXCROFT – Sara Carroll hit a free throw with 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and the Mount Desert Island girls basketball team held off Foxcroft Academy 46-44 in high school action Thursday night.

Megan Phelps led the Trojans with nine points. Tia Parady and Carroll each added eight points.

Vanessa Lougee paced Foxcroft Academy with 15 points as Sabrina Sharrow and Tiffany Lougee had eight points apiece.
