EAST MACHIAS – Senior center Tim Nicely scored a career-high 25 points and added 13 rebounds to lead Washington Academy past George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill 60-54 in a Class C boys basketball game at Gardner Gymnasium on Saturday.

Joey Hunter had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Raiders and point guard Ben Teer added 15 points.

Nicholas Saunders led the Eagles with 18 points and Rashad Frazier chipped in 16 points.

At Presque Isle, Chase Huckestein scored the game-winning goal with 4:26 remaining in overtime to lift John Bapst past Presque Isle.

Neil LaFrance and Andrew Casey each scored a goal in the third period. Ethan Sale, Ryan Hayes and Casey Hull each grabbed and assist for John Bapst. Derek Duff made 26 saves on 28 shots for the Crusaders.

Greg Cyr and Parker Hovey each netted a goal for Presque Isle. Josh Buck and Cyr each had an assist. Ethan Hill stopped 24 of 27 shots for the Wildcats.
