BAR HARBOR – Ben Young canned a 3-pointer with 3:20 remaining in the fourth quarter to give Mount Desert Island its first lead of the game as the Trojans rallied for a pivotal 55-49 Class B boys basketball win over John Bapst of Bangor Thursday night.
Young finished with a game-high 17 points for MDI, which outscored the Crusaders 22-11 in the final period to overcome a five-point deficit.
Jake Merchant and Conrad Strout chipped in 12 points apiece for the winners.
Ethan Cushman paced John Bapst with 13 points while Charlie Merritt added 12.
