PORTLAND – The seniors group AARP is urging its members to be politically active in this presidential election year.
Maine AARP Director Jud Dolphin helped kick off the group’s “Divided We Fail” campaign Monday in Portland.
Dolphin was joined by Democratic state Sen. Joseph Brannigan of Portland and others. They encourage the discussion of domestic issues such as health care and financial security by urging all presidential candidates to answer questions from AARP members and voters.
The campaign is a collaboration of AARP, the Business Roundtable, Service Employees International Union and the National Federation of Independent Business.
