Tatum Welch

Maine Maritime Academy freshman forward Tatum Welch of Newport was named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week. Welch was named the Southern Maine Invitational All-Tournament team. Against Clark she had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Andrew Duncanson

Thomas College freshman guard Andrew Duncanson of Portland was honored as the Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Duncanson totaled 47 points and 10 assists in the Jim Beaudry Classic and was named to the All-Tournament team. He hit a 19-foot jumper at the buzzer to force overtime in Thomas’ 66-58 loss to Wesleyan.
