Carpenter leads Hawks

FORT FAIRFIELD – Sam Carpenter had 16 points to lift the Hodgdon girls to a 48-44 win over Fort Fairfield Wednesday.

Melissa Quint scored 13 points for the Hawks.

Whitney Clark led Fort Fairfield with 15 points and Brooke Beaulieu chipped in 10 points.

At Mars Hill, Alex Dame had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the host Central Aroostook Panthers to the win.

Amber Bradley also had a double-double with 13 points and 11 steals for the Panthers. Senior center Sarah Long scored the 1,000th point of her high school career with her second basket of the game and finished with 11 points.

Emma Dionne led the Madawaska Owls with eight points.

Olivia McNally tossed in four 3-pointers for a game high 24 points and Jallsa Moore added 10 points for the Cougars.

Houlton-Hodgdon 5, Hampden 2

At Bangor’s Sawyer Arena, Chris McGuire broke a 1-1 tie with the lone goal of the second period and triggered a three-goal outburst with his second one for 4-3 Houlton-Hodgdon.

Mike Epley had a goal and two assists with Morgan Hall and Craig Buxton getting the other Black Hawks goal. Zach Chase and Logan Holmes collected assists and Levi Ledger finished with nine saves.

Kurt Hiller and Josh Tardiff scored for 3-4 Hampden Academy and Kevin Brown had an assist. Matt Albert wound up with 32 saves.

Bangor 7, Skowhegan 1

At Sukee Arena, Winslow, Joey Seccareccia scored two goals and assisted another to lead Bangor past Skowhegan.

David Pardilla also scored two goals for the 4-5 Rams and Nate Lewis had a goal and three assists. Phil Frost had a goal and an assist and Josh Kelley scored. Andrew Riley stopped 16 of 17 shots.

Justin Enman scored off of a Bret Savage assist in the first period for 1-6 Skowhegan. Jimmy Quirian made 20 saves on 27 shots.

Lawrence 6, Hampden 3

At T.J. Ryan Center, Brewer, Jack Hersom, Cote Noonan and Devon Belanger scored two goals apiece to lead Lawrence of Fairfield past Hampden Academy.

Sam Miller, Josh Dearborn and James Banks provided two assists apiece for the 5-3-1 Bulldogs. Dillon Bellefleur blocked 23 of 26 shots.

Josh Tardiff, Ethan Chase and Cody McAllister scored for 3-5 Hampden. Matt Albert made 28 saves on 34 shots.
