They say bad things happen in threes, so the crew from A&E’s “Dog the Bounty Hunter” appears to have one more to go. To add to Dog’s recent run-ins with the law and bad publicity after taped conversations of the star using racially unacceptable terminology, his co-star Tim Chapman has found himself in trouble.
Chapman was allegedly caught with his pants down, and to avoid embarrassment, ran from security guards creating even more trouble for the bounty hunter.
The call to police said there was a man fondling himself in a truck in a shopping center, according to Reality TV World’s Web site. When asked to get out of the truck, Chapman reportedly drove toward a security guard before leaving the scene, resulting in a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening when he turned himself in to authorities the next day, the Web site reported.
He also could face charges for indecent exposure, but Chapman’s attorney said his client had a good reason for his lack of pants – he spilled juice on them and retreated to the back seat and tinted windows to change his clothes. Hmmm – I thought bounty hunters were supposed to find the bad guys, not join them.
The show is off the air with the fifth season pending and A&E not even airing the reruns.
In keeping with the bad-boy theme, CMT is expected to feature “My Big Redneck Wedding” at 9:30 tonight.
I’m thinking fistfights for entertainment, shotguns as party favors, cheap beer and a pig roast at the reception, and hunter orange with highlights of camouflage for wedding colors. I can’t wait!
There are several shows premiering this month that viewers won’t be familiar with and may not have heard of. One example coming up next week is Discovery Channel’s “Bone Detectives.” The show airs 10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, and will follow a team of archaeologists to some pretty cool places and lost civilizations. If you’re into history, this one’s worth checking out.
Discovery is full of other premieres next week, including season six of “Mythbusters” and “Smash Lab.” It’s reality TV for the intellectually curious. If it’s hook-ups and drama you’re looking for, look elsewhere (such as on FOX).
