LEWISTON – Bryan Wholey scored 19 points and Brewer’s Chris Wilson added 13 points and six assists as the Bates College Bobcats edged the Colby College White Mules 71-69 in men’s basketball action Saturday.
The Bobcats earned their eighth straight win.
Two free throws by Bangor’s Alex Gallant gave Bates the lead for good at 63-61 with a little more than five minutes left in the game.
Adam Choice scored 20 points for Colby of Waterville, while Artie Cutrone scored 15 points, Michael Russell had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Mark Gaudet netted 10 points.
