Stacey Kent

Kent, a junior guard for the University of Southern Maine women’s basketball team, was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association player of the week. Kent shot 63.6 percent from the field and 62.5 from 3-point range while averaging 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block over two games, both wins.

Carrie Bunnell

Bunnell, a freshman guard on the University of New England women’s basketball team, was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. She had 30 points, 10 rebounds and three assists while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 60 percent from 3-point range in two games.

Caitlyn Laflin

A sophomore forward for the University of Maine-Farmington women’s basketball team, Laflin was named North Atlantic Conference player of the week. The Farmingdale native averaged 19 points and seven rebounds in three games (two wins) for the Beavers.

Katie McCabe

McCabe, a senior forward for the Colby College women’s basketball team, earned New England Small College Athletic Conference player of the week honors for her effort in two wins for the Mules. She averaged 18.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals for Colby while shooting 59 percent from the floor and 91.1 percent from the line.
