Bradley museum offers horse-drawn sled rides

Maine Forest and Logging Museum executive director Cathy Goslin reports that “if the snow cover stays,” the museum will host horse-drawn sled rides on various Sundays through March.

The rides will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20, Feb. 3, Feb. 17 and March 2.

The rides will begin at the Blacksmith Shop at Leonard’s Mills on Government Road off Route 178 in Bradley.

The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger.

Goslin wrote that “riders should dress warmly and bring a blanket to sit on.”

After the ride, you are “invited to enjoy hot chocolate in the warmth of the Blacksmith Shop” and also to visit the Gift Shop, which will be “open with a cozy fire in the wood stove.”

Private rides can be arranged if you wish.
