HANOVER, N.H. – Boothbay’s Matthew Forgues walked away with the gold in the men’s 1-mile racewalk Saturday at the Dartmouth Relays.

Forgues, who clocked a 7:18.84, was followed by Lisbon’s Tyler Campbell who finished in 7:56.92. Forgues’ time was second overall in the mixed-gender race behind the winning female, U.S. National Champion Joanne Dow, who had a time of 6:53.44. University of Maine sophomore Lauren Forgues of Boothbay was third overall with a time of 7:29.05 from Boothbay. The bronze medalist in the women’s race was Edward Little of Auburn’s Christie Bernier, who had a 8:31.68.
