London rallies PCHS by BC Patriots 52-47

GUILFORD – Brandon London scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Piscataquis Community Pirates to a 52-47 schoolboy basketball victory over the Bangor Christian Patriots Saturday.

Brian Russell had 11 points for the Pirates and Nolan Lovell added 10 points.

Tyler Alexander scored 12 points for the Patriots and Kevin Caldwell totaled 10 points.

At the Portland Ice Arena, Phil Frost scored two goals including the winner 2:03 into overtime off a Chad Kelley assist to power the Rams past the Stags of Portland.

Nate Lewis had a goal and an assist for 5-5 Bangor. Alan Reese and Johnny Warren each put in a goal while Joey Seccareccia provided two assists and Nick George had an assist. Zach Hamilton stopped 15 of 19 shots.

Brian McDonough had two goals and tied it at 4-4 at 7:52 in the third period for 2-7 Cheverus. Topher Pochebit scored twice as Jim Schutt made 26 saves on 31 shots.
