Jay Muth recently joined Camden National Bank as a vice president and commercial loan officer. Based at Camden National’s branch in Bangor, Muth will be responsible for developing loans, deposits and other bank services with business clients in Greater Bangor. Muth has more than 20 years’ experience in the banking industry with a concentration in commercial lending, trust and investments. Before joining Camden National, Muth served as vice president of commercial lending with TD Banknorth. Previously, he held several senior positions with Bangor-area financial institutions. He is a member of the Bangor Area Breakfast Rotary Club and will join its board in July 2008. He serves as treasurer for the Bangor Region Leadership Institute’s steering committee and as a member of the Basic Needs and Self-Sufficiency Community Council with the United Way of Eastern Maine. Muth and his family live in Winterport.
U.S. Cellular recently promoted Robin Ball to agent manager for Maine. Her responsibilities will include the overall direction, leadership and strategy-setting of more than 40 authorized agent locations throughout Maine. Ball started her career with U.S. Cellular in Maine more than 15 years ago. Most recently, she served as U.S. Cellular’s store manager in Bangor, where she was responsible for increasing overall customer satisfaction and increasing sales for the Bangor Mall and Ellsworth retail stores. She has also held positions with the company as customer service representative, agent coordinator, outside sales representative, senior retail wireless consultant and sales manager. Ball received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Husson College. A native of Maine, she lives in Hermon with her husband, Aaron, and child, Taylor.
Amanda Burke of Bangor has joined the USDA Rural Development staff as an area technician at the Bangor-area office. Her responsibilities include providing assistance to the area director and loan specialists in areas such as outreach and public information, loan processing and servicing, and administration. Burke will serve Hancock, Knox, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset and Waldo counties. She is a 2004 graduate of York County Community College, where she obtained an associate degree in business administration and finance. She has five years’ experience working in the mortgage industry, including her most recent position as a loan processor with Downeast Mortgage Co. of Bangor.
