LINCOLN – ThMattanawcook Academy Lynx took a six-point halftime lead, outscored the Old Town Coyotes 18-10 in the third quarter, then held on for a 61-56 schoolboy basketball win Tuesday night.

Brady Vose paced the winners with 20 points, 12 in the first half. Derek Libbey chipped in with 14 points and Jake Smith added 11.

Ethan Shanley led the Coyotes with 12 points and Mamadou Ba netted nine.

At Milo, senior Brandon London scored all of Piscataquis’ 11 points in overtime to lift the Pirates of Guilford over Penquis.

London hit a two-pointer with 14 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 40-40 for Piscataquis.

London totaled 22 points to lead the Pirates and Corbin Shufelt chipped in 10 points.

Penquis was led by Cody Andrews’ 12 points while Kris Foss and Joe Leland added 10 points apiece.
