Boothbay’s Matthew Forgues finished second in the 3,000-meter racewalk at the Sorlein meet at University of Rhode Island on Saturday with at time of 14 minutes, 21.87 seconds and had a personal-best time of 14:09.5 Sunday at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational at Harvard University.

His older sister, Lauren Forgues, won the women’s 3,000 racewalk at URI with a time of 14:33.64 Saturday and was second Sunday in Boston (14:55.2).

Christie Bernier, 15, of Auburn had a 16:46.1 on Sunday, good for fourth place, and 13-year-old Nicole Court-Menendez of Auburn was fifth in 18:36.6.
