Gil Melchior had 11 points for Lee.

Joe Kane led Husson with 19 points and Cam Puls added 14 while Chris Byron had 13.

At Standish, the University of Southern Maine Huskies of Gorham placed four scorers in double figures as they held off Saint Joseph’s to capture the Costello Cup.

Greg Whitaker and Jamaal Caterina each recorded double-doubles, chalking up 16 and 14 points to go with 10 rebounds apiece.

Drew Coppenrath registered 14 points and eight boards and Foster Oakley 12 points.

Alberto Rue and Raymond Eaton tallied 17 points each for the Monks.

At Boston, freshman forward Brian Ellis scored a career-high 23 points to lead Bates College past the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

Bryan Wholey had 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Bates Bobcats. Sean Wirth grabbed 10 rebounds and Scott Place had 10 points coming off the bench.

Anthony Matlock and Terrell Maddox each scored 14 for the Beacons. Ernst Jean had 12.
