At Alfond Arena in Orono, Brandon Paul scored a goal and assisted on two to help the Red Riots edge the Broncos.
Nathan Curtis chipped in with a goal and an assist for 5-7-1 Orono while Ben Perry and Mark Cloutier each notched an assist. Tanner Francis, Dustin Goudreau and Kirk Francis had an assist apiece and David Eugley made 24 saves.
Sam McNutt scored off an assist from Kevin Brown for 5-8 Hampden and Wesley Woods converted a Josh Tardiff pass for the second goal. Jacob Ward made 17 saves.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor on Saturday, Nick Mitchell scored a goal with 1:05 remaining in the game to break a 1-1 tie and Andrew Casey added an empty-net goal to seal the win for John Bapst.
Ryan Hayes scored for John Bapst in the first period. Casey tallied two assists while Neil LaFrance had one. Derek Duff stopped 22 of 23 shots for the 10-3 Crusaders.
Joe Fischer netted a goal for Gardiner in the second period. Chris Howe made 27 saves on 29 shots for the 7-3-2 Tigers.
