HOULTON – Rachel Foster and Vanessa Sanderson combined for 14 of Houlton’s 20 fourth-quarter points where they limited Fort Kent to nine in pulling away for a 51-39 girls basketball victory over the Warriors Tuesday night.
The Shiretowners held Fort Kent to one three-point field goal on the game.
Foster finished with a double-double (19 points, 12 rebounds) and Sanderson 12 points and six assists for the winners.
Marissa Albert paced the Warriors with 14 points while Taylor Boucher contributed 10.

At Bangor, Brooke Hackett and Allie Clukey each tossed in 18 points as the Rams earned the win and avenged a loss from earlier this month.
Hackett scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and Clukey went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the period.
Bangor’s Meagan Doucette added 15 points and Amy Hackett had 10. Amy Hackett had a game-high eight rebounds and Clukey added seven.
The Rams had an eight-point halftime lead which the Eagles of Oakland whittled down to five points on a Hannah Dexter 3-pointer with 3:55 left in the third. But Bangor had a 10-4 advantage the rest of the quarter and went up by as much as 13 in the fourth.
Bangor went 24-for-45 (53.3 percent) from the floor.
Dexter led Messalonskee with 18 points. Kaitlyn Deering and Jessica Bridges added 13 and 10 points, respectively. The Eagles, who beat the Rams 45-44 on a 3-pointer with nine seconds left on Jan. 3, hit just three of their 14 attempts from behind the arc.

At Hampden, Alexa Bernatchez led three Bulldogs in double figures with 17 points as they earned their 14th victory.
Brogan Liberty added 15 points and Carly Perry 12 for Lawrence of Fairfield.

Bouchard and Harvey had nine points apiece in the first half as Fort Kent built a 32-19 halftime lead.
