Rams slip by Indians Doucette scores in final seconds

SKOWHEGAN – Meagan Doucette’s field goal with seven seconds left gave Bangor a 45-44 girls basketball victory over Skowhegan Monday night.

Allie Clukey led the Rams with 14 points, and Amy Hackett scored 10.

Ashley Matchett tallied 12 points for the Indians.

Andrew Casey and Casey Hull assisted on Huckestein’s goal 7:53 into the third and Travis Poulin assisted on Scofield’s goal 25 seconds later. Nate Kuneman made 33 saves for the 10-3-1 Crusaders.

Brandon Daigle scored a first-period goal off a Dylan Collins assist for 8-6-2 Presque Isle and Josh Buck set up Mark Carvell’s second-period goal. Ethan Hill made 36 saves.
