MILLINOCKET – Nathan Pierce tallied a game-high 17 points as the Dexter boys basketball team nipped Stearns 56-53 in overtime in high school action Wednesday night.
Ethan Woodman and Gavin Cote posted 12 points apiece for the Tigers.
Tyler Richards led Stearns with 11 points while Charlie Osborne added 10.

At T.J. Ryan Center in Brewer, nine different players scored for Winslow as the Black Raiders cruised past Hampden.
Sean Bourgeois tallied two goals and two assists while Chad Guptill netted two goals. Ben Grant, Nick Murne, Jesse Cullivan, Derrick Lizzotte, Jeff Bramie, Nick Bourgoin and Dan Clark each added a goal for Winslow. Dalton Thompson, Kevin Martin and Bramie each grabbed two assists while Murne and Lizzotte posted one apiece. Ryan Lormier made 10 saves on 12 shots for the 11-4-1 Black Raiders.
Mike Mourkas had a goal and an assist while Kurt Hiller scored a goal for Hampden. Corey Morin and Sam McNutt each chipped in with an assist. Jacob Ward and Matt Albert combined to make 28 saves on 39 shots for the 5-11 Broncos.
