Autism relations focus for UMFK sessions

FORT KENT – Matt Brown, a U.S. probation officer and the father of a child with autism, will present two training sessions at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on interacting with people with autism.

The sessions will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at UMFK’s Nadeau Hall teleconference room. The event is free to the public.

The training is made available through the sponsorship of Parent to Parent of Maine, a program of Maine Parent Federation; the University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Academic Outreach Office; and the Autism Society of Maine.
