Sumner’s Chris Weaver added 10 points. Justin Brenton pulled down 12 rebounds.

At Hermon, Luis Medina scored 22 points and provided six assists to lead Lee Academy to victory over Schenck of East Millinocket in the inaugural PVC Class C-D Championship.

Tyler Doty had 16 points and 17 rebounds and Hakeem Rodriguez added 12 points for the Pandas.

Mike Lowell led the Wolverines with 21 points. Aaron Hutchins scored 16 points and Lanny Thompson added 10.

At T.J. Ryan Center in Brewer, Brandon Paul tallied two goals and two assists to spark Orono by Hampden.

Nathan Curtis scored a goal and grabbed two assists while Ben Perry and Kirk Francis each added a goal for Orono. David Eugley stopped 33 of 34 shots for the 6-11-1 Red Riots.

Troy Gaudet netted an unassisted goal for Hampden. Jacob Ward made 20 saves on 25 shots for the 5-12 Broncos.

Falmouth 1, Brewer 0

At T.J. Ryan Center, Brewer, Cam Hart scored on a power play off a Brian Greene assist with 9:11 left in the second period to lead Falmouth past Brewer.

Derek Kump stopped all 25 shots to earn the shutout for 10-3-3 Falmouth.

Eric White turned away 46 of 47 shots for 13-4 Brewer.

Presque Isle 3, Gardiner 1

At The Forum, Presque Isle, Brandon Daigle scored a goal and assisted two others to rally Presque Isle from a 1-0 deficit to beat Gardiner.

Josh Buck and Dylan Collins both had a goal and an assist for 9-7-2 Presque Isle. Greg Cyr provided an assist while Ethan Hill made 23 saves on 24 shots.

Peter Caradonna scored 4:02 into the first period off a Kevin May assist for 11-4-2 Gardiner. Chris Howe made 25 saves on 28 shots.

PVC Class C-D Championship

Lee 64, Houlton 51

At Hermon, Amanda Gifford scored 18 points to pace Lee Academy past Houlton to claim the inaugural PVC Class C-D Championship.

Karin Bird scored 14 points for the Pandas and Aarika Ritchie added 12 points.

Martina McPartland led Houlton with 11 points and Desiree Dow scored 10 points.

At Ashland Friday, cousins Mindy Chasse and Whitney Flint combined to scored 11 of Ashland’s 15 fourth-quarter points to lead the Hornets past Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Chasse had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Ashland and Flint scored 10 points. Sophomore Jade Tilley had five second-half points and nine rebounds.

Melanie Allen led the Eagles with 18 points and Stacy Bernier scored 13.
