BELFAST – The Greater Bay Area Ministerium’s Lenten luncheon series will begin at noon Thursday and run through March 13 at the First Baptist Church, 95 High St.

This year’s theme is “Questions of Faith for Waldo County.”

Each week local clergy will briefly speak to how their traditions would approach that question followed by a discussion.

It is expected to be an opportunity to learn how Belfast area churches and their members affect the social and religious climate in Waldo County, according to the Rev. Joel Krueger pastor of the First Church in Belfast, United Church of Christ.

The dates of the sessions and the questions to be posed are:

Feb. 14 – Are the churches relevant in Waldo County?

Feb. 21 – Who is God to you?

Feb. 28 – Why should people of the 21st century give credence to ancient scripture?

March 6 – How far can forgiveness extend?

March 13 – Are the church communities doing enough amid the suffering and injustice in Waldo County?

For information, call First Baptist at 338-2544.
